    Default Exporting a VDP job?

I know with impose you can save as an impose file or flattened pdf. When you do a VDP job it only allows you to save as a .dbp file. I know you can archive the file but doesn't seem to be a way to save it as a pdf or export into another program. The file seems to be just proprietary to the Fiery itself. Just looking for some clarification on this.

Saving a job in Impose as a flattened PDF is limited to PostScript or PDF files that are opened in Impose. Impose has access to the content of all of the pages in the file and can merge the content to a new flattened PDF file. This feature is not available for VDP jobs. The variable data is not merged with the static data until the job is processed.

If you are using a VDP application, see if there is an option in that application to output the VDP job as a flattened PDF.

Thank you for your support of Fiery Forums.

As FYI... this forum is just about done, as we are almost 100% transitioned over to communities. Can you register, and re-post your question here? https://communities.efi.com/s/

    Thanks,

    Gary
