    Default Ic-408 "f"

One of my customers has an IC-408 on a Bizhub c5501 that is randomly rebooting and coming backup up with just "F" (NOT FF).

Has anyone ever seen this before? I have never seen a "F" code and can't find any info on it.

I am re-loading system code now and hoping that will solve the issue, but it would be nice to know what caused this....

UPDATE: I installed a new HDD loaded with new system software and the single "F" code returned. Booted to "FF" then to "F" (Not even a 0F)

At first I thought one of the LEDs may not be working, but they both work. This appears to be an acutal code of some sorts.

Still no idea what "F" is, but after diagnosing all the symptoms, replacement of the motherboard was the only option. Luckily I had one and that does seem to have cleared the problem.

Would still like to know what this error means tho....
