    Default ES-2000 not working

    Hello all.

    I think this is the right place to post this. My apologies if it's not. It's a complicated problem.

    Recently, there was an update for the Color Profiler Suite to version 5. The problem was that I didn't know that we did not have the right license for that version. So, after learning that and after finding the rollback version I could use, I got everything back software-wise to where it needed to be.

    Here is where the problems come in.

    The Profiler suite could not see that I had the ES-2000 plugged in. Nor can Command Workstation 6. An email to Profiler service has not been responded to yet so I'm posting here in hopes someone can lead me in the right direction. There is Xrite software from Ricoh that I installed that can see the ES-2000 just fine.

    Hi Steve,
    The solution is much simpler and documented too in the installation guide available at
    While doing upgrade or downgrade if you keep the instrument connected, the "Measurement services" hung up sometimes and would not respond.

    A simpler solution is to remove the device and re-install the software, please try and let us know if this works for you.
