    Default Printing simple 11x17 bi-fold?

I created a 4 page (8.5"x11") brochure within Adobe InDesign that I'd like to print to our iR-ADV c5500i printer as an 11"x17" bi-fold. I can't seem to find the right combination of settings in the Fiery properties to make this work properly. The 'booklet' feature works but apparently with only 8 pages and up. If I print my four-page doc it tends to throw in a blank page. Granted, the four pages print correctly and its folded but it adds an extra 11x17 sheet along with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Set your document up as 2-page spreads in inDesign. Print as spreads to your sheet size and simply select Duplex in the Layout properties

@Gavin, Thank you but it didn't seem to work.

So, I have a four-page document and when I go to print, I selected 'spreads' and then duplex printing in the layout properties. Below are the settings within the Fiery properties. Not sure how to make this happen. It should be so simple but I think I'm missing something.

Possibly your N-up option - set it to 1. As you have sent the job to print as spreads you already have 2 pages per sheet.

I thought that as well and so I shut off the 'spreads' and kept the 2 up, but it still didn't work correctly. Either I'm missing something so obvious or this is way more complicated then it should be. A four-page document printed on 11x17 and folded is as basic as it gets.

You have 'cover page' selected under finishing. Is that intentional?

if you are working with single pages use the Booklet Wizard under the LAYOUT/BOOKLET tab. Make sure to select in the wizard....the page size should be 11x17. After your done with the wizard you will still need to select your finishing settings...if you have a saddle stitch finisher and you want to fold your prints choose saddle stitch for finishing. It will fold a single sheet..
