    Default G7 in foreign markets?

    Hi!

I'm wondering if anyone outside the US is using G7 for profiling their machines. I recently spoke to a KM tech in Austria and he told me that G7 is neither applicable nor recommended for european print standards or customer ecpectations...

Generally, G7 is only used in the US with some exceptions such as Taiwan. BUt gray balanced calibration or what is known as "near neutral" calibration in the EU is applicable for all users. We regularly hear from EFI partners and customers abroad that they are using this feature. The NPDC curves G7 targets are actually quite similar to the tone and neutrality goals of the non-US FOGRA references.
