Question Paper Catalogue Names between Diff Printers

We have both Xerox and Ricoh machines in our building that are currently connected to Navigator. Both Xerox machines use the same paper catalogue so Navigator correctly displays the correct paper use for those. However the Ricoh does not use the same naming conventions and so our total use of paper is wildly inaccurate when we view all the machines together. Management would like a more consolidated option so that they can calculate usage more efficiently.
We discovered some other unrelated problems with the Ricoh and we are considering wiping the catalogue and rebuilding it from scratch. Is it safe to assume that changing the naming conventions to match identically to the Xerox printers paper catalogue will show more accurate paper usage in Navigator when we go to view all printers together?

    Hi iGen_chickadee,

Unfortunately this is not going to work. The attributes used to identify the media currently use some of the device specific data from the printer. We plan on leveraging the Fiery paper catalog to normalize (and avoid) these differences, but the solution is not yet implemented.

Consider a real MIS that can provide you with the control and reporting you need.

Obviously that would be the most complete solution, but a costly one where as Navigator is, as management puts it "cost effective"

They're relatively happy with what they have considering the features of Navigator, thanks Andy!
