Default Versant 2100 Textured Stock Mottle

Is there anything I can do to improve my prints on textured stock? I'm using digital papers, all machine parts are new/good, but I can't seem to print a decent image. I've tried to adjust the 2nd Bias Transfer with not much improvement. I'm hoping there is something I can do using Command Workstation and/or the Color Profiler Suite to improve image quality. Thanks.

Thanks, but I've tried making that adjustment without any real improvement

What difference does that NVM setting seem to make? I guess I am going to have to try it.

    Default Could be hardware related

Often when I have this problem it's because the pressure roller behind the developer transfer belt is on its way out. If you're printing on allot of card stocks, these rollers can wear out prematurely and prevent the toner from being pushed into the paper's crevices properly.

If you have the ability to adjust your settings you can compensate for this, but it only works for a while (if at all)

Do you make custom alignment profiles for your paper?
If so there is a setting in the paper profile that you can adjust the density or how much "ink" is put on the paper.

    *Paper tray settings
    *Custom paper settings
    *Select the stock
    *Adjust image transfer

There are no settings like what you describe in the 2100 Stock Paper Library. There is in the Stock Library/Stock Properties/Advanced Stock Setup a setting for Secondary Transfer Voltage Adjustment. That needs to be set correctly no matter what paper you are using. On any stock including textured stock you can print a test sheet to determine the setting automatically or manually.
