Default IMPOSE - Handing full page spreads and single sheets

I recently came across a customer who received a booklet in 2 parts. The cover pages were 2-up 11x17 spreads and the body was sent in single sheets.

Is there a workflow to follow when handling this scenario? I would typically re-print to PDF from acrobat to split the pages to single sheets but was not sure if there is an easier way or a way to do the whole process within CWS/Impose.

    Thanks

    impose the guts.

save them out as flattened PDF inside the Fiery.

open the new imposed PDF in Compose, set the paper stock and plex, add the 11x17 cover pages to the front and back, and set the paper stock and plex for those accordingly.

Yeah I know I can impose the body. Thanks for the approach.
