    Default OS question

Being new to this I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Please excuse.
After many years using CWS on Windows XP without any problems I am now concerned with what to do about the Windows dead end. I have an old Mac mini but it's quite slow and a new Mac would be too expensive for me. I recently installed Linux Mint 17.3 on a new PC and like it very much.
Is there any possibility I could get CWS working using Wine? It seems to install OK but then fails. Looking at the error message it's something to do with expecting 32 bit perhaps. My PC and Linux Mint are both 64 bit.

Sorry we don't even slightly support Wine, only Windows and Mac.
What about Win7 or 10? What do you mean by dead end?

For me Win7 is where MS started to lose the plot. All I need is a plain vanilla OS just like Linux Mint. Anyway, aren't we currently warned not to install Win10?

Not to worry, I'll keep using XP till it drops dead or I'll find another solution.

We warn not to install Win10 on the Fiery unit itself (it will kill it), but on client computers it's fully supported.
