Hi. I'm trying to calibrate a Xerox WC7345 using ColorCal, but the calibration set is blank. Any ideas?

    Questions:

1 have you ever used this method of calibrating before.
2 has it been a while since you calibrated
3 have you patched the sever or Fiery controllers/apps in between calibrations
4 have you completely shut down and restarted (wait 5 minutes with power cord unplugged)
5 are there any new 3rd party applications on the PC/server
6 have you talked with a Xerox support tech

Couple of things - this is a pretty old bit of kit & if memory serves was quite fussy when using Colorcal ?

So first things first - on the GUI of the machine - when you look in Network Scanning is there a Colorcal Template Listed ? No - do update Templates - is it there now ? if not try the following:

Setup Template Pool and File Repository

    1 Open Fiery Website
2 Type the IP address of the Fiery Controller and press Enter.
3 Click Xerox WorkCentre located on the bottom right-side of the
    screen.
    4 Click the Properties tab.
5 In the navigation area on the left side of the screen, select Services
    >> Network Scanning >> Advanced >> Template Pool Setup.
6 Enter the following information and click Apply:
    • Protocol: FTP
    • Host Name/IP Address & Port: 100.100.100.102 : 8222
    • Document Path: /home/template
    • Login Name: template
    • Password: The Fiery Controller administrator password.
7 When prompted, enter the administrator login and password.
The default login is 11111. The default password is x-admin.
8 In the navigation area on the left side of the screen, select Services
    >> Network Scanning >> File Repository Setup.
9 Click the Add button under Alternate File Destination.
10 Enter the following information and click Apply:
    • Friendly Name (Optional): enter any name
    • Protocol: FTP
    • Host Name/IP Address & Port: 100.100.100.102 : 8222
    • Document Path: /home/template/data
    • Login Credentials to Access the Destination: System
    • Login Name: template
    • Password: The Fiery Controller administrator password.
    Enable Device Color Space
1 At the copier, if service icons are not currently displayed on the
copier touch panel, press the All Services icon in the top right hand
    corner of the display.
2 Press the Log In/Out button.
3 Type the administrator login and press Enter. The default login is
    11111.
4 Press the Machine Status button.
    5 Press the Tools tab.
6 In the System Settings menu, select Scan Service Settings (or
Scan/Fax Service Settings) > Other Settings.
    7 Press Color Space.
    8 Press Change Settings.
    9 Press Enable.
    10 Press Save.
11 Press Close to exit Scan Service Settings.
12 Press the Log In/Out button to exit the Tools tab.
    13 Press Logout.

Is a 73xx really that old?

    Why aren't you running CWS5?

Perhaps Old was too strong - what about supported ? try http://www.office.xerox.com/multifun...7346/enus.html - look under "Where to buy"

No, "old" was exactly right. I forget when that machine came out, but can it possibly be from the days of CWS4?
