    Angry Command Workstation (Not Responding)

I have been battling a reoccurring problem where seemingly at random Command Workstation loses communication with the printer locks up and stops responding. After restarting CWS it will not connect to the Fiery Server and stops responding again. It usually takes a complete restart of the server to get it to connect again. Sometimes several restarts are required to get it to work again. I have had our service tech look into this issue several times with no solution and I'm hoping someone here might be able to lead me to an answer. System specs are detailed below. Let me know if any more specific information might be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Understand, Command Workstation is simply a window into what's happening on the Fiery itself.

If there's no Fiery to connect to, CWS will keep trying for awhile until it admits defeat.

It looks like your Fiery is crashing. That indicates a problem on the Fiery itself. The easiest remedy is to reload the Fiery from scratch.

This is a good way to look at it. Thanks for the insight. I believe our service tech did re-install of the fiery as a first attempt at fixing this problem. He also replaced an I/O board on the printer itself yet the problem still keeps arising. Unfortunately reproducing the error is impossible and we always seem to get the system going again after awhile and production time lost.

    Regards,
Thank you. This is good to know. Can you be anymore specific on what patches are necessary. I have lost confidence in my service tech if he is unaware of important patches to our system.
