    Default EXi 570 staple issue

    Hi All,

Has anyone out there got a Xerox 570 with the EXi embedded RIP?
Having an issue when using booklet printing from the windows 7 x64 driver. Jobs sent as booklet fold only work fine, but using booklet fold and staple together the job outputs to middle tray.

Cannot override from CWS as we get an error saying it cannot use the booklet output tray.

If we import and set up the job in the same way from within CWS everything works - so problem seems to be with the print driver not the RIP.

We have SP1 installed on the RIP - machine also has the square back trimmer installed.

    Default Update......

The stapling issue seems to have resolved itself, though we have no idea why!

Instead we are now getting an issue with the 570 EXi driver properties kicking up an error.

When the print properties are opened from an application or from the print queue a box appears with the heading:

    jppath

    and a messgae stating

    LoadLibraryEx error

Clicking the OK box closes the error message and goes to the driver but the printer properties tab is blank. No settings, nothing. The postscript and about tabs continue to work fine.

We're having to use the C75 driver to work around it for now....

seen the exact same issue here ... we uninstalled drivers and rebooted, installed latest driver via "product updates" and suddenly the problem was gone ...

    Default jppath LoadLibraryEx error

    Dear All,

Had similar issue today with one of my clients.

    Versant 80 version 1.0
    Driver: Xerox EX-i 80 Server 1.0

When would install Driver on LPR port it works fine, but as soon I setup 2nd Print queue
(For example, Hold and Print queue) than stopt working again and showed blank screen.

Checked Java Version and found older version installed on client pc (Version 6 update 22)
Upgraded this to version 8 update 31) Reboot PC and after the Job Properties worked fine again.

But day later it stopt working again and properties windows blank again.

Also make sure that Java is installed at both Program Files as well at Program Files (X86):

    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe
    C:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe

Java can be found under Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items, Java, Click Java tab, click view and check the Platform and version of Java.
Select Add -> under Path you enter "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe" and this will point to Java 64bit.

After install the Java 64bit I rebooted the computer, and after reboot it was still working.

    Will keep you updated.

This morning it was again blank, customer is using windows 7 professional SP1 64 bit computer.

For this moment in time no resolution, will check with my Regional Support team.

    Cheers

    Same error here.

Two otherwise identical PCs running W7 SP1 64bit...one is working, the other won't show the driver properties.

    LoadLibraryEx Error.

When the driver was loaded - does it know you have a D5 ( booklet finisher on the end ) ? the fact that a job imported onto CWS5 works ok - precludes an engine / iot problem - so the problem must be with the driver configuration..?
