Post can disable or close this TCP 3050 port

The port is open risk of this vulnerability as Attackers may use this credential to exploit it.

Best if it is the service can be disabled, is there any procedure done at the EFI-T1v2 system 8, release 2.

    Thank you
    Best Regards

Assuming your RIP runs XP ? ( not familiar with your particular rip..) if you open a command window - you could try the following netsh firewall delete portopening TCP 3050 ( if you want to reverse the command swap delete with set ) .

Greta did a table of the ports that the Fiery uses on this thread http://fieryforums.efi.com/showthrea...ighlight=ports

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. This RIP run in Linux base. And this port 3050 run with FireBird for the Paper catalog feature with Canon iPRC1.

Default Any update on patching Firebird or disabling port 3050?

I am currently working with several client's IT security people and they are planning on removing their fierys due to this issue. I have setup IP restriction and other security settings, but they refuse to accept the machines due to this problem. Any word on releasing a EFI patch that patches the firebird installation?

    Default We have released patches

In the past we have released patches to upgrade the Firebird DB, and change the default password to address security concerns.

Please contact your Canon dealer or supplier, who should be able to provide these patches. If there is not a patch for your particular model, they can raise a case to EFI, and we can make one.

    Thanks,
    G.
