Default CW5.3.1.32 freezes with Windows 7

    1) CW5program is now allowing "spaces" in properties
    2) CW5 program freezes after printing a job
    3) CW5 sometimes the disconnects/drops connection on its own from screen--quits

    Running Windows-7 pro, CW5 5.3.1.32, Eithernet 1-gig Cat 6, Konica-Minolta 6000

I have also downloaded windows XP virtual and same freezing issues

...not sure what exactly you mean by "Spaces"

How do you recover from disconnects and freeze-ups?

When this does happen, can you still print to Fiery? Can you Ping it OK?
Can other clients using CWS5 still connect, and observe printing status?

That would tell us if cause is Fiery itself, or if it is CWS5 application on just the single client

Spaces: I cannot type "12x18 cover + text ~ I have to type 12x18_cover_+_text" will not accept spaces from spacebar.

When CWS5 freezes or disconnects I have control+alt+delete then delete CWS.exe from processes and restart CWS5

I haven't tried to ping IP address. I will do it next time it freezes.

I have another CPU running XP and it seems to function OK ~ but it drops connection once in a while ~ it does not freeze up.

OK, so it looks to be just with your Win7 PC.

    Have you tried re-installing CWS5.3.1.32d?

You could also ask your KM dealer to get you an updated version of Fiery utilities from the KM "internal" download site.

Installed, it would come up as CWS5.3.1.56c. This version was released to KM for another (unrelated) issue. It includes quite a few tweaks and fixes as well.

Default More bad news with latest CWS

When we print to the Fiery on our KM-6500 the wrong name of the job shows up in the printing.

When I am printing 31238 541-894 ALTC Booklet 10-9-12.indd = 34 sorted patches is the name printing.

The RIP on the 6000 went down yesterday and the dealer re-installed software. Now the job printing has the wrong name consistently = 34 sorted patches

ON THE XP CPU the correct name is displayed

The last version of CWS did not work well on the Windows 7

Can you help on this one?d
