Default Printing bypassing Command Workstation on MACS.

I apologize if I am explaining this all wrong.

We have a XEROX Docucolor 240 workcenter and have installed the Command Workstation on our macs. We can print to the printer just fine. The problem is that it seems to bypass the Command Workstation and goes directly to the printer so we are not able to set some of the advanced settings for making a book or stapling. Is their a step by step doc we can download to get this setup right?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

It sounds like you want your jobs to go to the HOLD queue on the Fiery controller. You just need to configure or add your printer to print to the HOLD queue.

    1. In System Preferences choose Pint & Scan
    2. Click + to add a printer and choose IP Printer
    3. Set Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
    4. Set Address: IP Address of you Fiery controller.
    5. Queue: hold
    6. Name: Any name
    7. Print Using: Choose the PPD for the Fiery controller.
    8. All jobs with this printer will print to the HOLD queue on the Fiery. From there you can modify the Job Properties and release them for printing.

    Thank you,
    Bruce
