Default Can't get spot on to work with photoshop CS3

    Hey people

I am currently trying to get my head around Spot-On. I can get it to work in Wordpad on simple text (red) but cannot in Photoshop.

I've tried with text and simple shapes and saving as EPS but it just won't change my colour (i'm doing brown to blue so it would be easy to see)!

Can anyone suggest what I may be missing?

    Many thanks,

    Hello Pajeroid,

Maybe this link will help you get started?

Keep in mind Spot On is using Named colors and the application needs to send Named colors. I seem to recall you have to place spot colors in Photoshop in such a way that it will print as a named color. If the application is just sending CMYK or RGB values then you'll want to use Substitute colors.

    Best regards,

    Default rasters don't work

If you are using Photoshop the file is most likely a raster image. This doesn't work with spot colors or Spot on, including substitute colors.

    Illustrator should be fine.
