    Default Need to restart the fiery rip to continu printing

    We have a few customers with Xerox machines and Fiery rips
    Dc242 with embed rip
    Dc550 with external rip

    All rips are updated with the latest fiery patches , also CWS/hotfolders are up to date on server/client...

    it happens verry often that it seems the rip just died... the CWS is still connected but when we print the prints just get stuck in the print spooler aswell on a print server or on the hold/print queues on the printer itself...
    The printdriver on the windows print server is indicating "offline" message

    even if we print a config page from the CWS directly , the printer doesnt start...

    Also we dont get any error on the machine / controller...

    all seems ok , but the rip doesnt start printing...

    The only way to get it back only is todo a warm reboot of the controller through the CWS

    any help?

    There have been a few recently released patches for both your Fiery's. Would it be possible for you to send me a printed configuration from both units? Thanks, Craig

    Hey,

    attached are the config files from the xerox machines

    550 - external rip : CWS disconnecst occasionaly , and sometimes need to warm reboot rip

    7545 - embed rip : cws disconnects occasionaly, as well on mac/pc

    X700 - embed rip : Need to reboot EFI rip to continue printing

    All clients are installed with the latest CWS 5.2 package...
    None of the clients use hotfolders

    Can you look into this?

    The EX560 is missing important patches (1-1A23JL...), maybe related, so please use system or web updates, other config sheets look ok.

    Can you please report these issues in details to Xerox support and let us know the log#?

    seems there is a new patch released for the ex560 : 1-16C6H7 , gonna apply that patch and the other patch you suggetested...

    how about those 2 other fierys? seems that patch fixes connection issues... when will the patch be released for the other ones?

    seems there is a patch on the ftp server of efi (not listed in updates) , patch 1-12LSAK and 1-12JGY5 for the X700 integrated/externel RIP , about connection issues...

    Is there also one for the 75xx embed version ?

    Unfortuately, there is not a patch available for the 75xx fiery. Your configuration page for the unit is complete. I would suggest calling your Xerox analyst and having them contact Xerox support. Let me know if you have additional questions.
