    Hello Johno,

Thank you for your interest in PrintMe Connect.

Some Fiery controllers will recieve a patch, alllowing AirPrint enabled devices to print directly to the Fiery controller, providing the Fiery controller is on the same wireless subnet.

The PrintMe connect software solution is a little bit more flexible, since it allows you to print directly from your IOS device, to multiple Fiery controllers, on multiple subnets.

    Best regards,
    Bruce

    Hi Bruce.

    Any timeframe for this?

And how can we tell which Fiery controller our printer (Canon iRC5051) has?

    Thanks,

    James.

    Hi James

A Canon IRC5051 does not have a Fiery attached to it. It is the CLC 5051 range that would have a Fiery.

    Hello,

Time frame for a patch? I'm not sure of an exact ETA but would estimate about 4-6 weeks.

With the iRC5051, if the controller is mounted to the back of the copier it's an imagePASS B1. If the Fiery is the external stand alone model it's the imagePRESS Server GX300.

The PrintMe Connect software is available and supported on both of these controllers.

    Thanks Bruce.

It's bolted onto the back of the unit and has the model number W10-01 on it. So this is the imagePASS-B1, correct?

Interesting, as we were supposed to get the ColorPASS-GX300!

Is the patch available for either of these?

Re PrintMe Connect - I've installed it on our Vista Ultimate 64-bit PC but the service keeps crashing. Tried the new version that just came out - no change in behaviour.

    Hello,

Yes, imagePASS B1. Patches are planned for both of those controllers but are not available at this time.

The PrintMe Connect software is technically not supported on Vista but I'm surprised to hear it's crashing.

What service is crashing, Bonjour or PrintMeConnect?

Is the computer going to sleep or does disabling sleep make any difference?

    Best regards,
    Bruce
