Default Fiery Vue - Xerox 240

Does Fiery Vue Support a Xerox 240 with a bustled controller?

    Hello Kregan,

Sorry but the answer is no, the 240 is not supported. You can find the list of supported printers here.

    Best regards,

    Default Impose on a 240

if Vue doesn't work on a 240 could it be for similar reasons that machine doesn't support Impose either?

As we are obligated to use a Docucolor 242 64 bit print driver with our 240 is it really that hard to have Vue support a 240, heck if it could just look at the print driver on the computer it would.

    Lightbulb Maybe it is possible

Hint: for an embedded Fiery controller DC240/250 you can have either software system version 1.1 that is Fiery System 6 or 1.2 that is Fiery System 8e (and therefore equal to DC242/252/260).

For an external Fiery controller only 1.1 (System 6) is available.

I now have the same question again: does anyone here have a DC240/250 with embedded Fiery 1.2 (System 8e)? If yes, can you please check this out: Does Fiery VUE detect the DC240/250 as a certified printer due to the software 8e or does it not because it only "sees" an old Olympia?

I assume Fiery VUE detects the software version and not the printer type... so I think this should work. But this needs to be proved.

btw: EFI does offer an official Win7x64 driver that is working for our DC250 (but having EXP-250). I don't know where to download it but they have been part of the EFI patch 1-VT3QH.

    Not possible :-(

We updated a DC250 with Bustled/Embedded Fiery to v1.2 (Fiery System 8e). It's not accepted by Fiery VUE.
