Default VUE not seeing the proper printer options

Just installed VUE on an XP SP2 machine running Office 2003.
The 2 fiery's I am connected to are in a different subnet. VUE sees the fierys (bustled controller on a Xerox 252 and EX700) but does not see paper or toner levels and does not allow me access to the booklet function. Both machines do have the booklet finishers. Command Workstation sees the machines, toner levels, status, etc. properly from the same workstation. I have turned off the firewall in hopes of addressing the issue, but with no success.

    Ideas?

    Hi ashaman99,

Since there are multiple finishing options for both of thesecopiers, can you please confirm the finishers attached to your DC260 and 700DP? You can do this in CWS5 by connecting to the FIery and hitting the "Device Center" tab up top. On the right it will list the printer installed options.

Also, can you confirm the two Fiery's you have are the embedded for the DC260 and the external EX700?

    Thanks,

    Tommy

    Hi ashaman99,

Although the embedded DC260 Fiery is not yet officially supported, I was able to confirm this problem on both the embedded and external Fiery on the DC260 with the same finisher attached. I can also see your issue on the EX700 Fiery with the same finisher attached. We have logged these issues with engineering and they will be addressed in the next release. We'll update this post on the forum when this has been resolved.

    Regards,

    Tommy

    Default Managing Printers

    Hi Brian,

EFI is actively investigating this issue and has produced the error in our labs. In the meantime, you do not need to change your network settings because this is not caused by a network communication error.

    Thanks, Matt
