Question Black text appears jagged (screened)

I've just got EFI Colorproof XF 4.0 software with File Export Option to RIP and create 1200dpi bitmap PDFs. These files are then proofed on my Canon ImagePRESS C1 (through Fiery Server Q1) and sent to commercial printers or publications as final press-ready PDFs. However, when output on the C1, 100% black text (and linework objects) appear jagged. Under closer examination it appears that the Fiery or C1 is screening the text. Colorproof XF colour management is turned off, so the cmyk values are not changing at this stage. Is there a solution for this?

    Default Same problem here

I too am having the same issue with screened/jagged text, but my machine is a Konica Minolta c500 with the s300 fiery. I've tried different ways of sending the file through color management and no dice. The only way I could get my indesign file to print correctly was to export it to a pdf and then print the pdf as an image.
