Sierra 10.12.4 driver issue, no Fiery features.

using the latest XC_Integrated570_v1_0RX_FD51_v1Cert.dmg download, v5.1 set.
New MacBook Pro 15" with touchbar, OS 10.12.4.
Print dialog printer options does not display Fiery Features.. console generates the following error when switching to the XC570 printer-
Library Validation failed: Rejecting '/Library/Printers/Xerox/PDEs/EF772068/EF772068 (FF).plugin/Contents/MacOS/EF772068 (FF)' (Team ID: none, platform: no) for process 'Safari(359)' (Team ID: none, platform: yes), reason: mapped file has no cdhash (unsigned or signature broken?)

Tried to uninstall with the uninstaller in dmg and reinstall.. still got the same console error. During further debugging attempts, I also attempted to uninstall and reset the printing subsystem. Install log does not seem to show any major issues. The only error was-

Has there been any additional information on this? I have additional laptops I need to deploy and am having some issues with the XC_Integrated570_v1_0RX_FD51_v1Cert driver on Sierra upgrades as well now.

The team has reviewed the issue, but the issue is still under investigation. There is a possibility that this issue affects non-EFI drivers as well.

We use the Fiery Features to invoke Secure Print and save that as a preset... This is really needed for the Special Education folks due to the assorted privacy laws.

Suddenly, Secure Print is no longer working and Fiery Features are not available. This means that it is an update from Apple that has knocked the legs out from under it. uninstall/reinstall the driver does not bring it back.

The thread is only a couple of weeks old, but I am hoping to get a quick reply that this has been solved.

In my own testing, I am unable to duplicate it at the moment. However, I did find that I could copy the PDE files from a working system (Library-Printers-PDEs) to a non-working system and, Fiery Features were restored. This method did toss a permissions error with a prompt to repair. Once that was completed, it was possible to setup Secure Print again.

Good to hear you found a workaround! We would like to know more about your process. Can you explain what you meant by a working system? Is it another 10.12.4, meaning that some 10.12.4 worked and some don't? Or is it from a different OS version such as 10.12.3?

We observe this issue happening only on the latest Mac OS 10.12.4 version and with the recent Safari update to 10.1. We don’t believe this is a Fiery driver issue at this time. and we have reported this to Apple.

Apple BugReport ID: 31652143 Library Validation fails when trying to load a plugin to Safari.

Should we receive an update from Apple, I will provide it here.

My users on 10.12.4/5 are experiencing the issue in most any application.. including the primary applications they need fiery features- all of the Adobe Creative cloud apps. I would not consider this isolated to Safari.

Can you let us know the exact versions of the Adobe applications so we can perform more tests?
Please also include any relevant steps/information as well.

Morning,

I can confirm we are having the issue mentioned above on ALL macs in our company that have been patched. We are missing the Fiery features in all of the Adobe CC 2017 apps, all on the latest and upto date versions of the the full suite. Our users primarily use Illustrator and InDesign. Please see the screenshots attached. "bottom image" has not had the patch as it was installed whilst the certificate was valid and therefore not needing the patch. "top image" is the state on the ALL the macs that have had the patch installed. You can clearly see the difference and the lack of Fiery Options.

They are all using the same driver that has worked fine for the past 18 months. The only thing to change on the MACS is the requirement of a certificate. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

I have checked with the team and would like to just check one more issue. We know that the certificate issue would affect Fiery Features not showing up. The best way to make sure that the certificate is not the culprit would be installing the newest driver from our download center.

Please be sure to uninstall the older driver completely with Fiery Software Uninstaller prior to installing the new one.

If you have confirmed that this still does not resolve your issue, I would like to set up a webex meeting with you along with the driver team here.

we are trying to add a Konica Minolta C558 using a Fiery IC-416 controller. we have tried driver from Konica and from Fiery. The printer features are showing but not Fiery Features. I would be interested to see what you find as we also have problems with the latest Canon IRA C5550 with Fiery.

I am not sure what additional steps to take. All of our Mac systems with Sierra ( 20+ ) are now experiencing this issue, some are updates and others are clean installs.. it is enough of a problem that when our Xerox lease is up next month we are now looking at a system that does not include Fiery as our creative staff only uses a limited subset of the Fiery specific features and if we have to I can find workarounds or outsource.
All of these users use Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, etc. The Fiery features are not available in any application on these systems. I believe it all goes back to the errors seen in the installer where it is probably not installing all of the package files needed to support the Fiery Features dialog. Once in a while I can spend an hour on a machine and get the Fiery features to work 1 time.. but that is not productive. It's been over a month now with no new information and I just don't have the time to deal with buggy software.

I have run into this issue recently as well, with more than one customer. But I see it happen on non Fiery machines as well. Mac OS 10.12.5, Xerox 7845 no Fiery. It does seem to make a difference what program you're in as I saw Printer Features when printing from Safari, but Xerox Features when printing from Preview. From what I remember on the other Mac's I've seen this on, the Fiery driver has the same behavior where it's program dependent, with Safari and some of the other more Mac-centric programs having the issue, while MS Office and other programs not.
I'm going to be following this post, hoping for updates soon.

Be sure the updated driver includes the Cert.

Running Sierra 10.12.6 with Safari and the print dialog menu shows 'Printer features' instead of Fiery Features. From any other application, or Firefox the correct 'fiery Features' menu is displayed so it would seem to be limited to Safari. As others on the post have mentioned, when using secure print options we cannot have untracked printing and Safari presents a big problem that must be adddressed.
Please advise how can this loophole be closed?

I'm having the same issues. Have a brand ew iMac running High Sierra, installed the print (a Xerox 7835) downloaded the Fiery installer, FD51_v1, which fails but version FD50_v1 installed(?) but no Fiery features in any software?


Any advise would be appreciated as we're embarking on upgrading all the Mac in our studio and the Fiery features is essential to our workflow.
