Question:
What are the new source and simulation profiles?

Answer:
Here are a few quick words on the new source and simulation profiles for the Fiery.

"GRACoL2006 Coated1 (EFI)" - created from the GRACoL2006_Coated1.txt reference characterization dataset. This is representative of the typical commercial sheet-fed printing condition. Coated 1 refers to the media type. More information available at http://www.gracol.org/

"SWOP2006 Coated3 (EFI)" - created from the SWOP2006_Coated3.txt reference characterization dataset. This is representative of the typical commercial web-offset printing condition. More information available at http://www.swop.org/

"ISO Coated FOGRA39L (EFI)" - created from the extended characterization dataset FOGRA39L, provided by the European industry group FOGRA. This dataset is representative of the typical European commercial and specialty offset printing conditions (paper types 1 and 2, coated and matte). This is the same dataset used by the ECI profile "ISO Coatedv2"

"ISO Coated FOGRA29L (EFI)" - created from the extended characterization dataset FOGRA29L. This dataset is representative of the typical European commercial and specialty offset printing conditions for paper type 4 (uncoated, white). This is the same dataset used by the ECI profile "ISO Uncoated" This profiles gamut is much smaller then "ISO Coated FOGRA39L (EFI)" More information can be found at: http://www.fogra.org/index_icc_en.html

"eciRGB v2" - the recommended "working color space" by the European Color Initiative (ECI). They are currently submitting a proposal to make this an ISO standard. More information can be found at: http://www.eci.org/eci/en/044_working_colour_spaces.php
