As most of you know, Apple announced OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) will be released in the Fall of 2013. And many of you are probably wondering how this new OS may impact your ability to print to Fiery.

EFI has been evaluating the OS X 10.9 developer seeds from Apple. One change in OSX 10.9 that effects Fiery, is the way printer drivers are required to adhere to sandboxing guidelines.

Our testing to-date confirms that the current Fiery Driver requires changes to support printing from "sandboxed" applications. Our testing also finds that printing from "non sandboxed" applications using existing 10.8 drivers is not a problem.

EFI is planning to update our OSX 10.8 drivers to fully support OSX 10.9, allowing you to print from both "sandboxed" and "non sandboxed" applications. Our plan is to have updated drivers available immediately following the official release of OSX 10.9. We will update this thread with a link where you may download these drivers, once they are available.

Thank you,

Gary
