hi

am interested to know if (fiery graphic arts package premium) for canon Image press machines add any enhancement to the (screening) while printing over the (fiery graphic art package)

why halftone simulation is only limited to 200lpi?

thanks

200lpi limit is probably a limitation of the engine.

In that case, GA Premium Package wouldn't make a difference.

As to why it has that limit, you may want to send this question to Canon.

Cheers,

Hi ayman,

On printer side you are able to select some diferent dither patterns.
Go to: system settings>device management settings>dither pattern settings.
select one of the following scrrens to Gradation, Resolution and Rep. Scan Image:
Newspaper=110lpi, dot screen
High Gradation=130lpi, dot screen
Gradation= 170lpi, line screen
Color Tones= 190lpi, dot screen
High Resolution= 268lpi, line screen
Rep. Scan Image= 220lpi, line screen

Then on fiery driver Image tab>Printer's halftone use the most suited pattern.
For example, if you use pattern 5 you are using the screen selected on gradation to reproduce images and the screen selected on resolution to reproduce graphics and text

Hi,

After changing these settings you need to execute "auto-gradation".

Hi ayman,

Don't forget you are trying to compare different patterns, so it's normal if you have slight color differences.
You also need to calibrate your fiery when you change any dither pattern settings.
