It took you guys forever to bring out a 10.7 solution - too long.
Can we expect 10.8 support? will the Fiery Express Driver work with that as well?

Hi Tyler,

Given that Apple appear to be changing their Mainstream OS every third week ? - surely as the Bugs in Lion will be fixed in OSX 10.8 [ Mountain Lion ] ?? the bugs that will appear in that OS - will presumably be fixed in OSX 10.9 [ Limping Goat ] ? which should be available after Easter...

EFI - could then dovetail driver upgrades every 4th Thursday ? as I say just an alternative view...

Thistlegorm,
Yes, sometimes it does feel that way with the OS releases.

But to Tyler's point, we saw that with the 10.7 release, Apple made some significant changes to their print system.

We build our print drivers to provide the extensive functionality required for high quality printing needs, needs which are above and beyond anything Apple plans for. These print drivers have served Fiery users well in previous OSX releases. With Apple's new requirements in 10.7, it took more time than we wanted to become compliant with their changes.

We are working with Apple to understand what new changes they are imposing with the 10.8 release and what changes could be required in the Fiery print drivers to continue to offer the same functionality we do today. We certainly don't expect to take as long to release print drivers that work with 10.8 as we had to do with 10.7; our goal is to provide a way to print from a 10.8 Mac to the Fiery when 10.8 is released.

You are talking as if the drivers for 10.7 are ready, but as far as I know the drivers that are available for 10.7 are still not supporting printing for sandboxed apps (Preview!). When Apple forces developers to sandbox their Apps from June, the amount of sandboxed apps will only grow.
Already asked in another thread: when can we expect the full featured 10.7 drivers (Imagepass B1) for Lion?
