I have an ES-1000 with CPS 3.1, and I was wondering if there is a way to use the ES-1000 to read color values on printed papers. I have a customer that printed a few items on their home printer and they want me to match the colors. Can I use the ES-1000 to find the CMYK values of a color, and if so, how?

Hi,

would recommend a visit to Fiery How-To Guides...

The last one at the bottom named "Capture Colors and Reproduce them Accurately" should be just what you are looking for. We use that feature every day to match color samples supplied by customers...
