View Full Version : Security concern with Splash Server running under admin account

It is observed that Splash Server does not work running under a standard user on a Mac. Printing does not work and IP Printing goes offline. We are also told that the Splash software is not designed to run under a standard user.

The issue is that users need to be able to calibrate the printers daily and check the status of their jobs but shouldn’t have access to make changes to the configuration or have permissions which would allow them to inadvertently delete files or profiles.

What is EFI's recommendation to secure the RIP’s and will a future release of the Splash software offer support to run the application as a standard user account?

Thank you for your question. Is this a RPXii or RPXiii. If you don't know, let me know what it's connected too. Thanks, Craig
