View Full Version : Glass top Cal - Xerox 550 with intergrated Fiery

Hi there

We recently installed a Xerox 550 with an intergrated Fiery rip. We tried and miserably failed to run through calibrating the fiery using the glass top method.

Running through the instructions it points us to "network scanning" option. We cannot find this option on the home screen of the copier.

Is the network scanning feature an optional software upgrade or something? Or can we turn this on somewhere?

The DC560 normally comes with Scan to email as Standard - any other Scanning Solution requires you to purchase a Scan Kit which will enable Scan to PC - Network Scanning etc.

Basically a Software Key - which you enter through (logged on as Admin on the Machine GUI) Tools -> Common Settings -> Maintenance -> Software Options.

Go back to the person you bought the machine from & ask them to quote you..

While not specifically related to this topic, but as FYI... there is a composite patch for the Xerox 550/560 Integrated Fiery that addresses several issues. Both EFI/Xerox strongly recommend that this patch be installed, so taking this opportunity to communicate it.

Available on Fiery system updates, and from support.xerox.com, ensure your Xerox 550/560 Integrated Fiery has 1-16C6H7 installed.
