View Full Version : InDesign printing as spreads

We have a customer with a bustled Fiery controlling a Xerox 252.
This is a brand new install as of 2 weeks ago.
They are sending a file from InDesign CS5 using the print driver. It is a multiple page document, single pages, that they wish to print as spreads, one sided.
The first spread prints with the correct orientation, but the following spreads are rotated 90 degrees and as such, print off the edge of the page.

Has anyone run into this? Your help is appreciated.

Apple released an OS 10.6.6 update last week that is supposed to correct the rotation issue from CS5. We tested a couple of cases here and they printed correctly.

For more information, see

Also please make sure that the Fiery is updated with all patches.

Thanks for the info Laurent_H.
Unfortunately, they are having this same problem using OS X 10.5.8 and CS3. (As well as a machine using 10.6.4 and CS5).

I will try to find out if the machine is fully patched and go from there.

Just checked, you need the Fiery patch 1-XYPP9.
short desc: Landscape Jobs from Mac InDesign CS3 print 90 rotated starting with page 2.
Check your Fiery configuration sheet if it's installed or not.

Hope this helps,

Hi there

Check Xerox website. You will need to load a few patches before you install that one....load in the correct order.

Well, I hate to dredge up this old thread again, but I have to.

The service tech had to wipe this rip and start over, so now the customer is having the same issue again. The problem is, I cant find this patch listed anywhere anymore:

Fiery patch 1-XYPP9
If anyone knows where I can obtain it(and a list of it's prerequisites) I would greatly appreciate it!
