We have recently purchased an OCE 655 colour printer with a Fiery release 8 v 2 rip.

I'm looking for a reference list of postscript commands that the Fiery will recognise as we're finding that the commands we use for our DP180 printers with DocuSP are ignored. Does such a list exist?

I'm particularly looking for help with paper tray commands and calling variable Background Forms/Master pages for our print jobs. We use PreS to compose our postscript print files.

The actual PS commands used by each Fiery vary by model.

But an easy way to check them is to install the Fiery PS driver (set to print to file), and then use notepad to print to PS file.

First time print with all defaults.
Next time print with tray set to tray1.

Then compare the two PS files using word or another text editor, it will show you what changed when you selected tray 1. That's the command you can use to automatically call tray 1 in the future.

Background forms can be set using freeform in the Fiery. To create a master select 'Create Master' in the driver, and select a master number.
