View Full Version : lost ability to scan to email or shared folder

We have a Konica 550 what had two IP's. both pingable and one was to the fiery console and one was to the http web console. we had some power surge or something over the weekend and since monday morning users cannot scan to email or shared local server folder.

We had a tech onsite and they seem to think its our network. We have other devices having no issues with this feature. One thing we noticed is that both IP's are not pingable anymore. If i ping the http: address i get a reply back from the fiery IP with Destination host unreachable.

User's can print to the device and i see lights in all NIC cards. from device to fiery to data port.

We really think the fiery got hosed.

Any ideas or settings to look at?

I would first try checking the router's firewall settings. Check PC permissions/firewall for the IP address being used on the printer.

Thanks for the response. Looks like our device didn't have the special power surge pack between the wall so a power surge did something to the NIC card. So a technician had to connect and reinstall the NIC software on the fiery. Then it was ok again.

Anyway, thanks for helping. on to another thread i have.
