Hi,

I work in the Fiery planning team, and I'm interested to hear what methods of scanning you use with your Fiery controller.

Hi Everyone,

I've been scanning (real) jobs on the Xerox for a few months and can generally only report positive stuff. Some of the things it can do (always from flatcopy) are far, far superior to a normal flatbed like a Scitex Smart. I never had a manual so have had to test all this stuff out myself. But it has worked really well.

I scan single originals in 600dpi RGB Tiff. In Photoshop I apply a scanner profile I made in EyeOnePro. The results are good.

If I have multiple originals I place them in the copier's top loader and scan to 300dpi PDF and amazingly the end result is a multipage PDF file. We had a job to scan an 280 page book to PDF. I reckoned it would take an hour. It took 30 minutes and the quality was brilliant.
